Tapping for health EFT meditations with Eleni Vardaki

Tapping for Health and Well-being

WHAT’S UP: Tapping for health and well-being is easy to build into your daily self care. Here are three ways you can apply EFT Tapping, in the moment:

  1. Tapping for dealing with a drink craving when it comes up.
  2. Mirror tapping for self-love when looking at your reflection in the morning.
  3. Photo tapping for regulating and processing when looking through photo albums.

TAPPING MEDITATIONS FOR HEALTH

TAPPING FOR STOPPING AN UNHEALTHY DRINK CRAVING

Have you set yourself a personal goal to cut out processed sugar or alcohol for a certain period of time? If so, try this easypeasy tapping exercise to help you work on your relationships to the chemical substance you have developed a habit of turning to for energy or happiness.

This EFT Tapping meditation for cravings is suitable for all sorts of drink cravings.  From craving a glass of wine, a cold beer on a warm summer’s days, a drink with processed sugar in it like Coca-Cola or Fanta Lemon, or even an energy drink like a Monster.

Tapping for alcohol cravings, sugar cravings, Monster cravings with Eleni Vardaki

Don’t be surprised if you discover, through this mindful tapping exercise, that your brain has created false logic thoughts that are holding your unhealthy habit in place! For example, one thought that often comes up for people I’ve tapped with is ‘I need this cold Coca-Cola to quench my thirst’…when in fact water, that is easily as available to them, quenches thirst just as well.

Another common false logic thought that may come up for you is ‘I need this cold beer because it’s hot’. Again, a cold glass of water can fulfill that role at well! But that’s how unhealthy food or drink cravings operate, we often develop these false logic thinking patterns that are partly responsible for keeping the habit in place.

TAPPING FOR SELF-LOVE

EFT Tapping requires that you are ready to be honest about your thoughts and feelings. One coping strategy that we can develop sometimes if we don’t like what we see in the mirror is to avoid looking in the mirror altogether. This tapping meditation works great for people who are curious to see what comes up for them when they make time to truly ‘see’ themselves as they are, right now.

Whether you decide you want to starting a daily mirror tapping practice, or to use this as a one-off exercise in between therapeutic coaching sessions with your EFT Practitioner to see what comes up, it’s worth giving it a try for emotional self-care.

TAPPING MEDITATION FOR SLEEP & INSOMNIA

There are various ways to practice EFT Tapping for sleep issues and insomnia. One of those is by using the Touch and Breathe EFT technique, which can be tailored to your specific preferences. Here is one version of the Touch and Breath technique.

PHOTO TAPPING FOR UNRESOLVED EMOTIONS

Want to look at a photo album from your past, but feel a bit scared that it might bring up some unresolved emotions, like sadness? These gentle tapping techniques help you revisit those photos while keeping your nervous system regulated.

Gain the clarity, self-love or self-compassion you want to cultivate via a more comfortable emotional processing experience that has a self-care mechanism (silent tapping) built in.
