Tapping for College students with Eleni Vardaki

Tapping for College Students

WHAT’S UP: Eleni created short tapping meditations to help support college/university students’ well-being as they study for their finals. The words in these tapping meditations are simply there to inspire self awareness and self reflection on what feels true for you. Feel free to skip or swap out any words that don’t feel true for you with ones that do. Words may not be necessary all the time, so don’t feel pressured to use them if you don’t want to. As the research on clinical EFT Tapping has evidenced, the most important ingredient is the tapping itself.

TAPPING MEDITATIONS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS STUDYING FOR THEIR FINALS

TAPPING FOR  BURNOUT

College/university boosts our IQ, but it tends to do very little for our EQ (Emotional Quotient – our Emotional  Intelligence). Our Emotional Intelligence is affected by chronic stress. Chronic stress leads to burnout.

These two mindful tapping practices help you take matters into your own hands so that you can start to reverse your disconnection to your body and emotions, which comes with burnout.

They’re easy to integrate into your morning or wind down routine, or even into a study or work break during the day. All you need is a minute. And we’ve all got a minute…!

TAPPING FOR  STUDY FATIGUE

Struggling with end of semester fatigue and brain fog? Give this mindful tapping meditation a try to help clear your mind and identify what your body needs to restore your focus for the final push.

If you’ve got pen and paper handy, you can jot down how tired you feel (0-10, 10=as tired as you could possibly be) before and after each round of tapping, if you’d like. See if you can notice anything changes in physical sensations or energy levels after each round. You may also want to journal about anything that comes up for you.

TAPPING FOR TEST ANXIETY

Whether you’re preparing for your finals, dealing with the pressure of upcoming tests, this tapping meditation can help you acknowledge how you’re feeling and start processing some of your worries for more effective studying.

If you’d like, you can jot down how intense your anxiety is on a scale of 0-10 when you think about your finals before and after each round of tapping. See if you can notice anything change in emotional intensity and in the thoughts you have about your finals. You may also want to journal about anything that comes up for you.

TAPPING FOR MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT LEAVING CAMPUS

Leaving the familiar campus environment often brings up mixed feelings that are associated with this significant milestone. This tapping video helps you acknowledge and make space for all of the different parts of you, allowing you to move on with confidence and enthusiasm towards new adventures.

If you want to, you can jot down the intensity of the main negative emotion that you feel when you think about leaving campus, before and after each round of tapping. See if you can notice anything change in emotional intensity and the thoughts you have about leaving campus. You may also want to journal about anything that comes up for you.
