IB Alumni Share Time Management Tips
WHAT’S THE ISSUE: In these videos, successful IB alumni share practical advice on how to improve your self-discipline, organisation and mindset around time management.
Hi, I’m Eleni. I’m a former IB History and TOK teacher, as well as an IB alumni myself. So I understand the time management and workload challenges students face who are doing the IB Diploma. Both from the student’s perspective and from my experience working in an IB school with hundreds of DP students for many years.
My former students and interviewees in these videos also get what DP students are going through, because they’ve been through it themselves as well. That’s why we teamed up to create these interviews for future generations of DP students, passing on practical advice from personal experience.
One of the rare challenges of being an IB Diploma student is that your parents, teachers and school leaders usually haven’t done the IB themselves. If you are a teacher of school leader, please share these educational resources with your IB Diploma students who are struggling with procrastination and organizing themselves.
Unlike other educational programs, where teachers have lived experience of having gone through the same educational system themselves, Diploma students don’t always get the same lived experience empathy of ‘you get me’. They know most of their teachers haven’t been through what they are going through.
These videos are designed to help bridge that communication gaps, to that they feel inspired to realize it is possible, from people who have (quite literally) done the IB themselves.
