EFT Tapping for Health
THE PROBLEM: Sticking to healthy habits can be tough and mess up your health goals. This guided EFT Tapping meditation helps you break through that block for better health. It opens the door to real change and better wellness. Sure, it’s good to work on negative beliefs. But there’s often a bigger issue: Does health really come first in your daily life? Lots of people say yes. Yet when you look closely and kindly at how you spend your time, the truth might be different. This explains why health goals feel so hard to stick with.
Figuring out your true priorities right now—and using tapping to shift them so health ranks higher—is step one for true, lasting change.
What's holding you back?
Seeing where health ranks in your daily life shows why sticking to health goals feels hard. Try this: List your top priorities like work, family, friends, hobbies, and health stuff such as exercise, good food, or meditation. Rank them 1 to 5 (or 10) by how important they feel and how much time you give them. This often shows health isn’t in your top 3. Spotting that explains why healthy habits are tough to keep.
But don’t worry – EFT Tapping can bump health up your list. It helps you face inner blocks to changing your daily habits and lifestyle, accept your true feelings, and drop negative beliefs. It brings calm, clarity of thought, and regulates your nervous system, making choosing health easier.
Putting health first builds habits that make life better, cuts doctor bills, and boosts your energy and happiness. And at the end of the day, facing the ups and downs of change with real talk gets you ready to go.

EFT Tapping for health: Overcome Your Resistance to Prioritizing HealthY Habits
This tapping meditation invites you to explore and gently release resistance to prioritizing your health.
Tapping to Make Your Health a Higher Priority
Before beginning, take a moment to find a comfortable seated position and either sit quietly or have paper and pen nearby to notice any thoughts or sensations.
Step 1: Set Your Intention (Side of Hand Point)
Tap gently on the side of your hand and say out loud or silently:
“Even though health isn’t my top priority yet, I deeply accept how I feel about this right now.”
“Even though part of me wants to prioritize my health but another part is resisting, I’m open to understanding my resistance.”
“Even though I feel unsure or stuck about making health more important, I choose to open to change.”
Step 2: Tune Into the Resistance (Eyebrow Point)
Tap on your eyebrow area and notice what resistance arises. It might be tension, doubt, or a negative thought such as “It’s too hard,” or “I don’t have time.” Simply acknowledge what is present without judgment.
Step 3: Explore the Inner Dialogue (Side of Eye, Under Eye, Under Nose)
Tap along these points while speaking to the resistance, for example:
“Part of me feels safe staying as I am.”
“Part of me worries about losing comfort or freedom.”
“Part of me wonders if I can really follow through.”
OR you can adapt to what your resistance is saying.
Step 4: Invite the Part That Wants Change (Collarbone, Under Arm)
Shift tapping here to the part of you that wants to prioritize health. Say:
“I welcome the part of me that wants to be healthier and feel better.”
“I’m curious about what this part needs to feel supported.”
Step 5: Create a Dialogue (Top of Head)
Tap on the top of your head and imagine a conversation between the resisting part and the wanting-to-change part. Notice if any new insights or feelings arise.
Finish off by tapping on the final point and affirming:
“Even though some resistance remains,
I can make small steps and still honor my body and mind.”
Step 7: Close with Body Awareness and Breath
Take a slow deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Scan your body from head to toe. Notice if tension has lessened and how you feel when you think about your new health priority.
On a scale of 0 to 10, rate your resistance now. If it’s still high, repeat any steps that feel helpful.
This tapping script combines my Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed advanced EFT way of working with resistance by acknowledging emotions and thoughts, inviting polarized parts into dialogue, and gently releasing blocks. Regular use of such advanced tapping techniques helps strengthen commitment to health as a top priority by calming the mind-body connection and shifting limiting beliefs.
Clearing Inner blocks to taking consistent action for health
Once new priorities and SMART (Specific Measurable Achievable Relevant Time-bound) healthy habit goals are established, tapping into physical and emotional resistance to following through on your healthy habit goals is important. Resistance can manifest as physical tension, fatigue, or mental blocks, including negative beliefs such as thinking health priorities are selfish or not feasible.
Let’s say you decide that you want to set yourself a SMART health goal of loosing 3-6 kilos in the next 6 weeks (so that would be 0.5-1 kilo/week). You want to do this through a balanced diet and exercise changes so that the weight loss can be sustainable, long-term. You also care more about changing your lifestyle to live a more healthy lifestyle than simply short-term goals likes getting a ‘beach body’ in time for summer. So you are clear on your motivation and intentions.
But following through with the the healthy eating habit changes that your dietitian/endocrinologist/doctor/health coach has advised is proving to be difficult. In this video, you will find 8 mental blocks – 8 negative beliefs, or ‘blocking beliefs/limiting beliefs’ as we call them in EFT, that you can work on to help you be more successful with transforming your eating habits.
Identifying such thoughts helps reveal the parts of oneself that resist change. These parts of you may be resisting change due to comfort zones, learned behaviour from family patterns, identity blocks (‘but this is who I am’), or fear of losing social connections or freedom if you were to change your lifestyle.
These internal dialogues can be explored and released in EFT sessions with a certified EFT Practitioner who can work with you to help you achieve your health goals more easily. At some point in your tapping sessions journey with your EFT Practitioner, you will also inevitably do some emotional processing work that probably includes Inner Child work; we often form our limiting beliefs in childhood. Therefore, clearing them at their root requires therapeutic coaching work such as Memory Reprocessing using therapeutic tapping techniques.
In sum, EFT Tapping for health improvement sessions are based on the practice of identifying real life priorities, recognizing limiting beliefs, clearing old emotional/stress coping patterns stemming from childhood that no longer serve you, and using tapping for behavioral change found in health and wellness coaching for managing time and priorities effectively.
