Informed consent: Please read the following Agreement careful which relates to any products or services you invest in when working with Eleni Vardaki, Therapeutic Coach-EFT Practitioner and trainer. This is to provide you with the information you need to give your informed consent of agreeing to work with Eleni Vardaki in her private EFT and/or mentoring practice.

Disclaimer: I am a Therapeutic Coach, EFT Practitioner, and trainer. I am not a Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or physician. I therefore do not have the skills or knowledge to diagnose or treat any psychological or biological medical challenges if you are experiencing severe psychological stress such as clinical levels of PTSD or other mental disorders/illness. If you are a parent seeking professional help for your child, you are responsible for consulting a qualified and licensed psychologist and/or psychiatrist you can trust for situations where a child’s stress levels have escalated to the point of becoming a mental illness/disorder (e.g. Anxiety Disorder, OCD, Panic Disorder).

The educational and marketing content on elenivardaki.com and any social media or other online platforms where I write, talk or share free content I have created is intended to educate and inspire you. Under no circumstances is it to be used as a way of avoiding or replacing seeking or receiving medical or psychological treatment for a medical/psychological illness or disorder, or an addiction.

My skills and qualifications allow me to work with people who are ready to move from ‘I’m well – and surviving’, to ‘I’m well – and thriving’. If you suspect that you or your child might be suffering from a mental illness or any other medical condition, you need to make sure you see a licensed psychologist, psychiatrist, or doctor you can trust and get the help you need. Exception: In situations where a young person or adult is experiencing a mental illness/disorder, what I can do is offer EFT therapy and coaching services for stress and anxiety relief as part of a support ‘team’ of professionals (e.g. psychologist, nutritionist, psychiatrist). However, this is only possible if the other professionals supporting this young person are open to communicating and collaborating with me in the best interests of this young person or adult for the duration of my work with this young person in the capacity of EFT Practitioner.

Personal Data Collection: The personal data I collect during the process of working together one-to-one is done to provide you with services that are customized to your goals, interests, and needs. I do sometimes also use client case studies or stories as examples in the free content I create online and on social media. I made a decision back in 2018 to always use pseudonyms in the articles and videos I create where I share examples from my work, and to do whatever it takes to make sure the personal identity of my clients is protected (even when my clients have told me they are happy for me to use their name and go public). In very rare cases, only with the written (and on-going) consent of a client, will I share a person’s real name.

One of the reasons why I create free content that sometimes includes client success stories is for marketing purposes, so that the people who need help and think my services would be a good fit can have a better understanding of the kind of work I do. The second reason is that I’m keen to help bridge the gap between mainstream education and the well-being skills students need to thrive in the 21st century. There are issues in mainstream education, both in schools and in universities, that I am keen to help raise awareness off through my articles, videos and my guest writer article series, as well as any other guest speaker or writer appearances I agree to do on the internet. I believe we need to start talking about the elephants in the room in education if we are to help co-create the structural, systemic change that we want to see in mainstream education.

Children’s Privacy Statement: In my private EFT Tapping and Academic Coaching sessions, I mostly work with adults but I also work with children 8+ who want my assistance in helping them focus more, stress less, or motivate themselves with regards to their studies and career path choices. I also work with university students and recent graduates who are going through a stress-related work crisis, such as an issue of workplace bullying. As part of my practice of continued professional development and self-reflection, I always invite the youths I work with, and my clients (their parents) to fill in a review form after the intervention. The data I publish on my website is through consent, and with respect to the parents or youths desire to be anonymous (through the use of a pseudonym), if they wish to protect identity.

As a matter of principle, I always use pseudonyms in my marketing material wherever I share an anecdote or a success story/review from one of my young clients, unless my clients opt-in to wanting to go by their real name, or have a photo uploaded next to their testimonial.

With regards to my newsletter, I do not knowingly allow children under 17 to sign up to my newsletter. Given that the content I share on my blog is focused on helping pre-university students (ages 17-19), and their supporters (parents, teachers, school leaders) work towards their goals with more ease and joy, the focus of any free educational content I create for school age exam students is to become more emotionally and mentally prepared for the academic challenges they face by developing their well-being skills.
